About Andrea Stover, PhD: Holistic Therapist & Depth Practitioner
As a holistic therapist and depth practitioner, my work has always been rooted in something I was born with: a deep capacity to connect, to see the beauty and potential in others, and to believe in the transformative journeys we take as souls.
My Path Into Holistic Therapy
Growing up in the Midwest, I developed an early sensitivity to people, relationships, and the emotional undercurrents that often go unnoticed. From a young age, I found myself deeply curious about human nature, spirituality, identity, and what it truly means to live soulfully. I often sensed patterns and underlying truths that hadn’t yet been brought into awareness, and over time, that became part of a deeper inquiry into what it means to become oneself.
Much of my life has been shaped by my own search for meaning, belonging, and deeper self-understanding. My path has taken me coast to coast across the U.S., with each chapter asking me to shed old identities, begin again, and learn to trust my own inner knowing. My life has become an ongoing practice in learning how to be both fully human and deeply spiritual at the same time. That tension and integration shaped the work I offer others as a holistic therapist.
I spent years working within the framework of traditional clinical marriage and family therapy, and I’m grateful for what that training gave me: a rigorous, systemic way of understanding people, relationships, and the forces shaping human experience. My doctoral work in psychology deepened my understanding of consciousness and human potential. Advanced Jungian depth psychology training opened a rich framework for working with symbolism, dream work, archetypes, and the unseen dimensions of inner life.
But over time, I kept meeting the edges of what that container could hold, and I kept going deeper. Psychological Astrology became a profound lens for understanding timing, identity, and the shape of a life. The Akashic Records opened dimensions of pattern and soul-level meaning that nothing else quite reached. And the intuitive gifts I’d always carried, but didn’t always have full permission to name, became central to how I show up in this work.
What emerged is an approach to holistic therapy that I couldn’t have planned, but that feels, looking back, entirely inevitable.
How I Work as a Holistic Therapist
What I offer today lives at the intersection of all of it: psychological insight, Jungian depth psychology, spiritual inquiry, intuition, and lived experience, woven into a deeply personalized process for each person I work with.
As a holistic therapist and integrative practitioner, I draw from Jungian psychology, Family Systems theory, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Psychological Astrology, and the Akashic Records to offer an integrative approach designed to help you better understand yourself, your relationships, your patterns, and your path.
Unlike standard therapy, I’m not currently practicing in a traditional licensed clinical capacity. I trained as a licensed therapist, and that rigorous foundation informs everything I do, but my work has evolved into something fuller. I now work at the fuller intersection of the psychological and the spiritual, treating your patterns as messages from a deeper part of you, not problems to fix.
I see myself less as an expert with answers and more as a guide helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom. My role as a holistic therapist is to help you develop a deeper, more trusting relationship with your own knowing, and to walk alongside you as you do.
What Holistic Therapy Looks Like in Practice
Every person who comes to work with me brings something different: a life transition, a pattern they can’t seem to break, a relationship that needs tending, a spiritual question that has no clinical answer. My work as a holistic therapist is to meet each person exactly where they are.
In practice, that might look like exploring a recurring emotional pattern through the lens of family systems and Jungian archetypes. It might mean opening an Akashic Records reading to access soul-level clarity on a question that keeps surfacing. It might involve reading a natal chart to understand the deeper psychological dynamics at play in someone’s life or relationships. Or it might simply mean creating a space where someone finally feels safe enough to say the thing they’ve never said out loud.
Holistic therapy isn’t a single method. It’s a commitment to working with the whole person, the psychological, the somatic, the spiritual, and the relational, in whatever combination serves you best.
Who I Work With as a Holistic Therapist
I work with empaths, highly sensitive people, creatives, spiritually curious individuals, couples wanting to become more conscious, women navigating the question of motherhood, business executives, parents, and those seeking a life outside the confines of the status quo.
Many of my clients have already done traditional therapy and found it valuable, but sensed there was a layer of themselves it couldn’t quite reach. As a holistic mental health practitioner working at the intersection of depth psychology and spiritual inquiry, I offer a space where all of you is welcome: the psychological, the somatic, the relational, and the spiritual.
The common thread is a sense that there is more beneath the surface and a readiness to look at it honestly.
